ENI OTE 65 MM is designed to satisfy even the most severe lubricating requirements of marine steam turbines. It is formulated from a specially-selected paraffinic base, additive-treated to impart oxidation resistance and antirust properties.
PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE
- The high Viscosity Index of ENI OTE 65 MM ensures a very narrow range of viscosity variation with temperature, thus guaranteeing proper lubrication even at high operating temperatures.
- ENI OTE 65 MM has especially high oxidation and ageing resistance and hence does not form sludge or deposits. It is therefore suitable for extended service. Indeed, it easily exceeds 1000 hours in the Turbine Oil Stability Test (TOST).
- Its anticorrosion and antirust properties provide effective protection of all lubricated parts, the oil circuit, storage tanks, heat exchangers, etc.
- ENI OTE 65 MM has very good antifoam properties and readily eliminates entrained air, thus reducing the danger of discontinuity in the lubricant film, cavitation in the circulation pump due to air entrainment, erratic governor operation and overflow of oil from the storage tanks.
- The product has high demulsibility, does not form emulsions and separates quickly and completely from water, thus guaranteeing continuity and homogeneity of the lubricant film necessary to minimize friction.
APPLICATIONS
ENI OTE 65 MM is intended principally for the lubrication of all parts of steam turbines (bearings, gears, governor systems, etc.) particularly for marine use. It also performs very well in hydraulic systems, general lubrication and air compressors.
SPECIFICATIONS
ENI OTE 65 MM is homologated by the Italian Navy on the basis of Specification M.M. O-2001 (NATO Symbol O-240).
